padIris germanica 'Immortality'

Everyone loves the frilly beauty of bearded iris blooming in June, but imagine having a repeat bloom sequence in September! A few bearded irises have been found to reliably rebloom. ‘Immortality’ is one of the best and most reliable for repeat bloom; it is certainly well named. Its pure white flared blooms will complement all of its companions. Appearing at #27 on the American Iris Society’s ‘Top 100 Iris’ poll, ‘Immortality’ has a vigorous growth habit, sending up multiple stalks of softwhite flowers in midseason and again from late summer through fall. The plant is 29 inches tall with a similar or greater spread. It grows best in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Zone 4.
