padDoronicum orientale 'Little Leo'

Plant this little beauty in a shady moist spot where you can see it from indoors, because it flowers in early spring, bringing cheer to the nascent garden. The small yellow daisy-like flowers are held well above the 12-inch foliage on wiry 18-inch stems. After the flowers fade, cut back the stems and enjoy the interesting heartshaped leaves with scalloped edges that add a nice texture to the garden. Lovely planted with spring-flowering bulbs. Zone 4.
