This must-have fall garden perennial shines with the pure, deep blue of an October sky. The fragrant, fine textured leaves are covered with a multitude of blossoms in September and October. Much more compact and far less aggressive than the species, ‘October Skies’ spreads slowly and is a candidate for a ground cover in sunny areas with dry soil. Once established, ‘October Skies’ is very drought tolerant. Best of all, it tolerates clay soil long as it is well-drained. Grows 1½ -2 feet tall with a similar spread. Zone 5.
