padAruncus aethusifolius (Dwarf Goat's Beard)

A lovely little perennial with bipinnately compound leaves that are also doubly serrated (which is just a high-falutin’ way of saying they look ferny). The blooms (in mid-late summer) are a cute, squat, condensed creamy-white version of an astilbe, which actually is a good description for the entire plant. Dwarf Goat’s Beard prefers partial shade to sun and any soil with adequate moisture. This is a long-lived perennial when happy. Grows to about 10 inches high with a slightly wider spread. Zone 3.

1 Gallon.
